
Victor Martinez-Arcelay
In 1990, he began playing hockey after Víctor Rojas one of the pioneers of Puerto Rican hockey launched an initiative to promote the sport across Puerto Rico.
He served as President of Club de Hockey DN from 2006 to 2008.
In 2008, he joined the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rican Hockey Federation as Director of Officials.
From 2012 to 2014, he served as Communications Officer for the Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF), covering the Bolivarian Games, the 1st Youth Hockey5s Games, and the South American Games.
In 2014, he launched the Beach Hockey project as an annual summer event.
In 2019, he officially established the Beach Hockey Puerto Rico Program as a year-round initiative featuring regular practices and community activities.
In March 2022, he successfully organized Puerto Rico’s first official Beach Hockey 3x3 Tournament at the Pala Arena in Vega Baja, an event later reported by the FIH. Following this milestone, he became one of the founding members of the World Beach Hockey movement.
In 2023, after formal recognition by the FIH, he was appointed Beach Hockey Manager for Pan America.
In October 2025, he was appointed President of World Beach Hockey.
