Maria Soledad

Maria Soledad Contardi Medina is an Argentine–Spanish former international hockey player and seasoned sports professional with extensive experience across elite performance, operations, and athlete development. A product of both the Spanish national program  she represented Spain in the U21 World Cup, multiple European Nations tournaments, and the full RIO 2016 Olympic Team cycle.


Soledad played in Europe’s top leagues — including the Belgian Honour Division, the Deutsche Hockey Bundesliga, and the Spanish Honour League — winning titles with Braxgata HC and Berliner HC and consistently ranking among the top scorers.


Alongside her playing career, she has built a strong coaching profile, leading youth and senior teams at Royal Victory HC to multiple championships and growth seasons. Known for her motivational leadership and high-performance mindset, she specializes in technical development, confidence-building, and team culture.


Beyond sport, Soledad brings operational expertise as a Project Manager, complemented by certifications in mental coaching and a background in logistics. Her leadership blends strategic clarity with a deep commitment to athlete development and program growth.


With multinational experience, including her latest top scorer trophy of the NLA Swiss league for Servette HC, fluency in several cultures, and a proven record in building high-performance structures, she is well positioned to drive the operational and strategic expansion of World Beach Hockey AME.
